Extension Services projects are modeled after the Cooperative Extension Service in Land Grant Institutions and are intended to extend proven, research-based strategies into STEM education. The University of Tennessee is one of 30 participating schools.<\/p>\n<p>Spatial skills were included in EF 105, Computer Methods in Engineering Problem Solving, starting in Fall 2012. Students were given a spatial visualization test the first day of class. Those students who would benefit from an improvement in their spatial skills were required to attend six 2-hour extra sessions.
