Success in engineering requires a substantial time commitment and hard work. The Engage Living and Learning Community (Engage LLC) provides a supportive environment for first-year students who have been admitted to the Tickle College of Engineering where they can develop a sense of camaraderie with other engineering students. Engage LLC provides first-year engineering students a residential environment designed to help them adjust to campus life as they begin their undergraduate degrees at UT. <\/p>\n

First-year students live together allowing for the opportunity to share notes, work together in study groups, and participate in professional and social activities. Upper-level engineering students, who serve as peer mentors, live in the residence hall along with first-year engineering students to help make the first-year transition easier.<\/p>\n

Applying to the Engage LLC<\/h3>\n

To apply to the Engage LLC, please follow these steps:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Become a Vol!<\/strong>
    \nIf you haven\u2019t done so already, confirm your enrollment in your MyUTK account at     my.utk.edu<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  2. Submit your housing contract.<\/strong>
    \nReview and complete the housing contract sent to your email address.<\/li>\n
  3. Complete your LLC application.<\/strong>
    \nApplications open in February through your     University Housing Portal<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  4. Select your room.<\/strong>
    \nOnce you have been accepted into an LLC, you\u2019ll be able to select from the available rooms for that community. Additional information will be sent in April; room selection begins in May.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
