{"id":694,"date":"2019-04-26T19:22:09","date_gmt":"2019-04-26T19:22:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sandbox-dev.utk.edu\/engage\/?p=694"},"modified":"2019-04-26T19:22:23","modified_gmt":"2019-04-26T19:22:23","slug":"congratulations-to-ef-student-assistant-adam-soper","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sandbox-dev.utk.edu\/engage\/congratulations-to-ef-student-assistant-adam-soper\/","title":{"rendered":"Congratulations to EF Student Assistant, Adam Soper"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"200\" height=\"280\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-649 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/sandbox-dev.utk.edu\/engage\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/19\/2019\/01\/Adam-Soper.jpg\" alt=\"Adam Soper\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to EF Student Assistant, Adam Soper, and his teammates, for winning the Most Creative Project Award and the People\u2019s Choice Poster Award for their Craft Beer Production Senior Design Project at this year\u2019s Senior Design Showcase.\u00a0 All students are members of the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering.\u00a0 The project was based on the observation of the beer making process and the development of a mass balance for dissolved oxygen and yeast in different sections of the system.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The inaugural Tickle College of Engineering Senior Design Showcase took place on April 25, 2019, in Thompson-Boling Arena.\u00a0 There were more than 500 students, 100 project advisors, 130 project teams that conducted 125,000 hours of project work.<\/p>\n<p>Senior design\u2014also known as capstone design\u2014is the final educational element that ties to together all the engineering, science, and humanities learnings as our students transition to the next phase of their lives.
